'Gotham' TV Show Cast, Trailer & Spoilers: Could the Penguin Die as Fish Mooney Battles to be Queen of Gotham?
The anticipative queen of "Gotham," Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith) may have lost an eye while held captive by the Dollmaker (Colm Feore), but that doesn't mean she'll lose the battle.
Bruno Heller, the executive producer of the hit FOX series "Gotham," recently teased about the villainess Moody and what's in store for her. Heller shared with Entertainment Weekly that during the April 27 episode of the series, "The Anvil or the Hammer," Mooney has grown more confident and resilient than ever, and she "comes back at a moment of crisis where Faclone and Maroni are in open conflict with each other. She has the possibility of running the whole town."
Mooney, who's never been inclined toward mercy, will tussle with anyone who dares to stand in her way, including Carmine Falcone, Sal Maroni, Det. James Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and her former protégé, Oswald Cobblepot, a.k.a. the Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor). The series exec shared that the conflict between Mooney and Cobblepot, which has been seething all season, will end with a showdown on the rooftops of Gotham. And the victor will be revealed.
Countless fans speculate that Cobblepot will be the decided champion, particularly because Pinkett-Smith has indicated that she will not return to "Gotham" next season. However, Heller warned that fans should expect the unexpected because one can never be sure what will happen in city like Gotham. He also assured viewer that the series will be punctuated with "a very iconic moment."
In the same episode, Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle will find clues regarding the Wayne murders; Cobblepot sets out to kill Don Maroni, and Gordon will search the whole city for Barbara Kean, who will soon fall victim to a murderous fiend by the name of the Ogre. Also, Edward Nygma will be identified as the murderer of Tom Dougherty.
Gotham airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on FOX.
