CW's 'The Flash' Season 1 Spoilers: Reverse-Flash Revealed in New Preview
After a lot of speculation about whether or not Reverse-Flash would appear in the first season of “The Flash,” a new promo has confirmed his appearance.
A new international sneak preview released in New Zealand for the upcoming episode entitled, "The Trap," shows the suit for Reverse-Flash as well as the character in action.
The new sneak preview shows Dr. Wells revealing his true identity to Eddie. This seems like a continuation to the events from earlier this season. At the beginning of the season, Dr. Wells revealed that his real name was Eobard Thawne and he was a distant relative of Eddie Thawne. However, the events were erased when The Flash went back in time and altered how everything played out.
“Reverse Flash” has been reincarnated various times in the DC comics and has been taken on by many different characters. It seems like the show is taking on the Professor Zoom incarnation. In the DC Comics, the character first appeared in the 139th comic and was also known as Eobard Thawne. He has been the main villain for a number of series.
Other incarnations of Reverse-Flash have included The Rival, Zoom, Inertia and Daniel West. All the incarnations have super speed and are foils to the Flash.
CW has had great success with “The Flash”. The series has obtained great reviews and currently has a 96 percent aggregate score on Rotten Tomatoes. Critics have marveled over the special effects, the story and the solid cast that CW has put together. The show has already been renewed for a second season and, based on the first season, will likely be as successful.
The show tells the story of Barry Allen, who uses his speed and power to fight crime in Central City. The final episode is rumored to include Arrow and other DC heroes.
