Following his exit as neurosurgeon Derek Shepherd on the popular ABC TV series "Grey's Anatomy," Patrick Dempsey is making changes in his personal and professional life, reports E! Online. One of the biggest changes was placing the Frank Gehry-designed house he shared with his wife and makeup artist, Jillian Fink, up for sale.

The real estate website Zillow lists the three-bedroom Malibu, California home with a sale price of $14.5 million.

The three-bedroom home is on more than three acres of land with ocean views, a spacious pool, climbing wall, pizza oven and fire pit.

The couple purchased the home in 2009 for $7 million.

In December, Dempsey purchased a contemporary micro-compound near Venice Beach, reports Variety. No word yet whether or not that will be his new address.

It is no surprise the Malibu home is being sold considering Dempsey and Fink are in the process of getting a divorce. Fink filed for divorce in January after 15 years of marriage. She requested joint legal and physical custody of their three children: Talula, 12, and twins Sullivan and Darby, 8.

The makeup artist and actor, who had no pre-nuptial agreement, have the daunting task of dividing up a reported $40 million in assets between them, reports the Daily Mail.

Meanwhile, the 49-year-old actor has denied rumors that a falling out with show creator Shonda Rhimes is what caused his departure from the show. On Sunday, Entertainment Weekly asked the actor if he's on good terms with Rhimes and he said yes. He also said that he was on good terms with the entire "Grey's Anatomy" cast.

Dempsey also explained that during a hiatus in November, he took some of the time to race cars in Brazil.

Fans continue to mourn the loss of Dr. McDreamy on "Grey's Anatomy." More than 92,000 fans have signed a Change.org petition to bring back the beloved character, and the number continues to grow.
