'Criminal Minds' Season 10 Finale Spoilers: BAU Hunts for Predator who Kidnapped Kate's Niece Meg in 'The Hunt' [Watch]
Season 10 of "Criminal Minds" will go out with a bang as the BAU go on the hunt for a sex predator who kidnaps Kate's niece, Meg.
Last week's episode of "Criminal Minds" ended with a cliffhanger after both Meg and her best friend were grabbed and thrown into a van. The incident occurred after Meg lied to Kate about meeting up with "Bobby," who is really the stalker that has been after Meg. After "Bobby's mom" picks up Meg and her friend, they are drugged and taken to a hidden location.
A preview video of Wednesday's season finale reveal the girls are not victims of a simple kidnapping.
"This isn't some loner who wants to keep girls in a dungeon," said Morgan in an exclusive preview video. "This feels like trafficking."
While the BAU team will go on the hunt to track down the suspect, pregnant Kate will have to deal with being on bedrest.
Executive producer Erica Messer also described the episode as a "crazy freight train of a finale," reports TV Guide.
Messer dropped details on the storyline, explaining how the suspect who has been kidnapping and auctioning people off online will come to a head. The story will end with unfortunate consequences for Kate, who will be put in a difficult position as she tries to save Meg and her friend.
"By the end of episode 22, we do a mini cliffhanger in that we know that Meg and her best friend are being kidnapped by the guy we saw in the premiere ... [The finale] is our team fighting for one of our own to get her loved one back," Messer told Entertainment Weekly.
According to The Hollywood Hills, the synopsis for Wednesday's all-new episode, "The Hunt," reads as follows:
"When Kate's niece Meg and her best friend are kidnapped, the BAU is going to suspect an online predator engaged in sex trafficking."
Season 10, Episode 23 of "Criminal Minds," "The Hunt," will air on Wednesday, May 6, at 9 p.m. EST on CBS.
