When Gwyneth Paltrow does something, it seemingly becomes headline news.

As she sets to embark on one of her biggest forays in the world of entrepreneurship, the 42-year-old "Shakespeare in Love" star particularly feels that all eyes are on her.

"People love to get hyper-involved in the decisions that I make," she told Fortune in reference to her now infamous attempt to live off just $29 per month as part of the Mario Batali Food Challenge.

Paltrow lasted just four days on the program, but she continues to insist her heart was always in the right place. She says she only put forth the effort in hopes of bringing more attention to an ongoing food crisis where better and fresher food distribution is needed across the country.

"I found it really incredibly challenging," she added of the program. "I'm really glad that I understood what millions of American families are trying to do."

And now, Paltrow has turned her attention to Juice Beauty, the San Francisco based organic cosmetics start-up company she's sure will be a household name within a few years. She recently signed on as creative director of the company and is also one of its most notable shareholders.

Paltrow insists the venture is a longtime dream come true for her because it fits with her vision of the non-toxic sort of environment that's needed for the planet's ongoing sustainability. In addition to helping Juice Beauty develop its own products, she is currently collaborating with the company to develop a branded line of skin care to sell on her site, Goop.

The lifestyle website is one she hopes to transform into a media and e-commerce empire. Before long, she plans to embark on a first round of venture capital funding for the company. It's all part of her plan that could someday see the company as one of the industry's most powerful players.
