"Salem" actor Shane West has listed his soaring Hollywood Hills house on the market for almost $2 million, Los Angeles Times reported.

The actor, who played the role of John Alden in the spellbinding drama, is ready to say goodbye to his Los Angeles home of nine years. West reportedly bought the towering home for around $1.78 million, which means he would only gain a little over $200,000 from its sale.

The actor-musician's home boasts stunning cityscape, ocean, mountain and canyon views. The nearly 3,700-square-foot residence also includes four bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms, a billiard room, a gym, and a living room and it prides itself for having a saltwater swimming pool and architectural features like wrought-iron railings and exposed beam ceilings.

The Hollywood Hills home, which was built in 1979, now comes with a renovated kitchen equipped with modern stainless steel appliances. Outside, there is also a built-in barbecue area, Trulia noted.

The Tuscan-style residence also has a guestroom that could be used by the next owners as a media room or recording studio. This home feature would have complemented the musician's interest in producing and recording audios.

For interested buyers of the "Nikita" actor's home, listing agents Edward Faktorovich of Figure 8 Realty and Sherri Rogers and Antony Stellini of Nourmand & Associates may be contacted.

A Musician at Heart

Though West is more known as an actor, he has a passion for music.

In his interview with About.com, he recalled his experience working with singer Mandy Moore in the touching 2002 movie "A Walk to Remember." When he was asked if he and Moore talked about music, he had a lot to say.

"We did," West said. "We come from two different, completely opposite sides of the spectrum of music. I'm a little more into 'The Clash,' and things like that. That's kind of where our vibe is. But I understand where the pop music industry comes from because with that, that helps things be more radio playable."

During that time, West's band was called Average Jo, but they had to change it to West, Gould, & Fitzgerald due to legal issues. Their track was called "So What Does it All Mean?" Listen to it here.

West also became the frontman of Jonny Was and the Germs. However, his music career had to take the back seat due to his busy schedule.
