The Kardashians had a busy 2013. Khloé Kardashian and Lamar Odom went through excruciatingly tough times as the NBA baller faced accusations of cheating and heading off on never ending crack binges. As Odom eventually came to his senses and checked into rehab, Khloé was checking out of the four-year marriage. Khloé filed for divorce this month and is excited to begin the New Year with a fresh start.

"I love the new year, new beginnings," the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star says in Cosmopolitan magazine's February 2014 issue. "I need a good fresh start; I'm excited for this year to be over with ... You only live once so let's make that one time perfect. We can't fix our mistakes and imperfections, so let's have fun. You get what you give out in life."

The 29-year-old reality star is obviously disappointed that her holy matrimony turned to hell in a hand basket fast, but she is living her life one day at a time.

"My life has made me who I am at this moment and I'm very happy with who I am," the brunette beauty explains. "No matter if it's great, disgusting, beautiful or ugly; it happens and it makes you you. Life is about how you process things."

Meanwhile, Khloé's sister Kim has managed to make herself even more newsworthy this year. Like her sister, Kim filed for divorce from her husband Kris Humphries, coincidentally an NBA player himself. The marriage lasted 72 unceremonious days and ended in 2011. By the time the year-and-a-half long divorce was finalized, Kim found herself on the rebound with none other than controversial rapper/entertainer Kanye West.

Kim gave birth to North West, an adorable baby girl back in June of this year. Kanye went ahead and rented out an entire stadium, San Francisco's AT&T Park, to propose to Kim in October. The whole engagement was top secret, according to the rapper. Text on the stadium's jumbotron displayed in bold, white letters: PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!! Kim said yes, and of course, the whole affair was filmed for the Kardashian's long running reality show.

Meanwhile, Kardashian matriarch Kris separated from her Olympic Gold medalist husband Bruce Jenner. Sensing a trend here, are you? It may not be appropriate to call the Kardashian's man-eaters, but they certainly don't seem to love their other halves. At least Kris's daughter Kendall, stepsister to Khloé and Kim, is just dating and not rushing into marriage yet with One Direction singer Harry Styles. She is just 18, but things happen!
