Tiger Woods did not cheat on Lindsey Vonn as has been widely speculated, and the couple's real issue that led to breaking up may have been their inability to agree on how they could become even closer and survive over the long haul.

HollywoodLife reports the real reason behind their sudden and unexpected split was Woods' hesitation about ever marrying again.

"Tiger didn't cheat on Lindsey, their relationship simply had nowhere to go," a source told the website. "After his divorce from Elin [Nordegren], he doesn't have the same appetite for marriage anymore. They got to a point, where after dating for a few years, they had to decide where the relationship was going to go."

Woods infamously split from Nordegren, the mother of his two young children, in 2010 after dozens of women emerged to publicly declare they had engaged in affairs with the world's one-time top ranked golfer. As part of the settlement, the 39-year-old Woods reportedly paid his ex-wife a $750 million settlement.

Feeling as if the relationship had ran its natural course, the 30-year-old Vonn called things off, but the source insists it was all amicable.

"With Tiger's stance on marriage being a no-go, Lindsey felt that it was time for the relationship to come to a natural end," the source added. "There's no animosity between the two, nor was there any infidelity. It was an amicable split without any drama."

Several media outlets reported Woods cheated on the Olympic gold medal winner after he was forced to withdraw from the Farmer's Insurance Classic in San Diego sometime around Valentine's Day.

"Most men would drink over such losses. Tiger has sex over it," a source said. "Yes, Tiger cheated again. But it wasn't with anyone special. He really wanted Lindsey to be the one. But he blew it again."

Woods was reported to have confessed to Vonn about his indiscretions during a therapy session they attended.
