Aaron Hernandez is suspected of being "the lookout" in a gang-related prison fight.

CNN reports the former NFL star and convicted murderer is alleged to have agreed to be the lookout for another inmate who attacked a fellow prisoner at Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center.

According to the website, all three man are now being disciplined for their parts in the incident, with Hernandez being placed in a special management section of the facility.

Jailed since the summer of 2013, Hernandez has previously gotten in trouble behind bars for brawling with a fellow prisoner at the Bristol County Jail. Reports are Hernandez attacked and punched the man while he was still handcuffed.

Already facing life in prison following his recent conviction in the slaying of Odin Lloyd, a judge is also expected to soon set a trial date on the double-murder charges he faces stemming from a drive-by shooting in downtown Boston in 2012.

Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado both died in a hail of bullets after a gunman alleged to be Hernandez opened fire as they sat at a stoplight. Investigators have speculated Hernandez may have shot the two after de Abreu accidentally spilled a drink on him in a nightclub and failed to apologize.

Hernandez is also accused of shooting former friend Alexander Bradley in the face in February of 2013. Bradley later told authorities the dispute stemmed from Hernandez accusing him of "disrespecting him" over a cell phone left in a Miami strip club.

Christopher Fallon, a spokesman for the Massachusetts Department of Correction, had no comment regarding Hernandez's latest jailhouse troubles, telling reporters regulations prohibit from divulging any such information about inmates.

Prior to all his troubles, Boston reported Hernandez had inked a five-year, $40 million deal with the New England Patriots.
