Pau Gasol is still playing with L.A. amidst the nearing Tuesday deadline date for the Andrew Bynum swap talk.

ESPN earlier reported that the Los Angeles Lakers and the Cleveland Cavaliers finally made progress with the swap and are targeting a Sunday trade.

Andrew Bynum, whose two-year contract worth $24.8 million with the Cavaliers will push through for the entire season should his swap with the Lakers' Pau Gasol come undone, can be bought out for $6 million only until Tuesday.

The Lakers seem to be holding the upper hand in the deal and are looking for more than just Bynum for the swap. Yahoo Sports hints that the Lakers may have better chances of picking any addition to the swap-up among other players but never Dion Waiters who has outright refused any partaking in the deal.

Earl Clark, Jarrett Jack, C.J. Miles, Alonso Gee, Anthony Bennett or Tristan Thompson would be logical additions to the swap-up deal, says a report.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed on Bynum to a two-year contract but are keen on letting him go due to his "disruptive presence within the team." Bynum has also "often expressed a lack of desire to play and practice," a report went on to say.

With the Cavs winning only 33% of their games, the team is seemingly trying to grab desperately on Pau Gasol - who is bound to be a free agent this year.

Though having Gasol on the team would potentially improve the Cavaliers in one way or another, he is definitely not a guarantee ticket to the playoffs.

Pau Gasol is "an excellent passer, solid midrange threat, and good post option," says Sam Vecenie. He will also be able to make up for the Cav's lack of smart, offensive basketball players.

However, Vecenie also notes that Gasol is particularly lacking in terms of defense though he was able to manage this season.

The L.A. Lakers lost to Denver Nuggets at 115-137 with Gasol accounting for 25 points and 10 rebounds.
