Khloe Kardashian Instagram: 'Keeping Up with the Kardashian' Star Wears Niqab in Dubai, Upsets Followers
Khloe Kardashian visited Dubai and posted a selfie with a niqab on sparking remarks from people who were offended by her picture.
"Habibi Love," she captioned the post with just her pretty eyes showing.
In another post she just wore her hair out.
"Kisses from #MyDubai," she captioned.
Kardashian posted the niqab selfie when she first landed in Dubai. Followers immediately responded saying she was disrespecting the traditional garb that many women in the Middle East wear for religious reasons, TMZ reported.
"If a Muslim woman wore this outside she would automatically be labelled as a terrorist and would be judged but as soon as Khloe does it it's ok," charlottewatson_x @coltonsa commented on the reality star's Instagram post.
"Don't you see how wrong that is?? It's not fair to Muslims who are judged and disrespected daily for wearing this," the user continued.
Other fans supported her for wearing the garb in the foreign country.
"Leave her alone...so what if she wears a hijab," prettykey007 commented. "I'm not Muslim but I wear one sometimes too....it's a free world...people need to learn to stop trying to read into things. She's not being disrespectful at all..HIJAB LOVE!"
Another user compared wearing the traditional garb to wearing traditional clothing in any other country.
"So if I go to Japan and wear a Kimono, I'm disrespecting the culture?" courtluvvv commented. "Or do I have to be a Kardashian first to qualify as a culture trasher?"
Back in October, Kardashian posted a photo with Scott Disick in Halloween costume and received the same kind of backlash, BuzzFeed reported.
She wore a cat costume and Disick wore traditional Arabian garb around his head. Kardashian posted the photo with the caption "Sheik P***y" offending followers for not respecting the culture.
After speaking with two Muslim women about the matter, Kardashian apologized for offending people with her Instagram post.
