"Fifty Shades of Grey" fans can look forward to a brand new novel to add to the highly successful book franchise later on this month.

On Monday, author E.L. James announced on Instagram that she is releasing a new book that will tell the famous love story between Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele from Christian's point of view. The original stories are told from Anastasia's perspective.

The book, which is entitled "Grey," will be published on Grey's birthday on June 18 in paperback and as an eBook by Vintage Books, reports

James said that she wrote the book due to popular demand and dedicates it "to those readers who asked... and asked... and asked... and asked for this."

"Christian is a complex character and readers have always been fascinated by his desires and motivations, and his troubled past," James said in a press release, according to Variety. "Also, as anyone who has ever been in a relationship knows, there are two sides to every story. It's been a great pleasure to return to my happy place -- writing, being with Christian and Ana in their universe, and working with the fantastic team at Vintage."

Vintage Books publisher and James' editor Anne Messitte also released a statement following the announcement, saying: "'Fifty Shades of Grey' is a love story that has enthralled readers in a way that few books have. When Erika mentioned to me that she wanted to explore Christian's viewpoint and re-open the story, I was incredibly excited for her and for her readers. This book has all the compelling attributes of its predecessors, and I can't wait for 'Fifty Shades' fans to experience the work again from a perspective they have long desired."

The spokesman for James' publisher, Paul Bogaards, confirmed that the company will have more than "a million copies in bookstores and other retail outlets across the country on day one," reports USA Today.

So far, the erotic drama trilogy -- "Fifty Shades of Grey," "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed" -- has sold more than 125 million copies worldwide, while the movie adaptation has grossed over $569.7 million.
