Have we seen the last of Jon Jones?

The Ultimate Fighting Championship superstar might not return to fight inside the Octagon again after being involved in a hit-and-run accident in April.

Mixed martial arts coach Mike Winkeljohn told Submission Radio he is looking forward to positive changes from Jones after the recent incident, but he admitted that he is unsure if the 27-year-old will fight in UFC again.

"I'm looking forward to Jon turning his life around and becoming a better person," Winkeljohn said. "If he fights again or not, I'm not sure, but that's not important. What's real important right now is Jon getting help for himself and his family."

Winkeljohn also said, though, that Jones is still in great shape as he remains active in gym works at Greg Jackson's facility in Albuquerque. The former UFC pound-for-pound king is helping his stablemates prepare for their upcoming fights.

"It's about Jon Jones becoming the best person he can. The fighting is secondary," Winkeljohn said. "And we lose sight of it. A lot of people lose sight of that and stuff. So there's a possibility that he might not fight, there's a possibility he might fight. I know right now he's staying busy helping others in the gym and that's very important."

Jones, who holds an impressive 21-1 UFC record with nine knockout victories, was stripped off his UFC light heavyweight title after charges were filed against him when he deliberately left the scene of an accident that sent a pregnant woman to a hospital in April.

The mixed martial arts superstar was supposed to defend his title against Anthony Johnson at UFC 187 last month, but UFC was forced to replace him with Daniel Cormier following the incident.

Cormier, who took a unanimous decision loss to Jones at UFC 182 in January, won the title against Johnson via a third-round submission. The new UFC light heavyweight champion recently said he is ready to give Jones a shot if he decides to return to the Octagon once his case is settled.

UFC president Dana White said late last month that Jones will eventually get a title shot because he thinks 'Bones' deserves it because he was just stripped off his title and did not lose it inside the Octagon.
