Alongside "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," Star Wars: Battlefront is returning to consoles and PC with a huge graphics update, after almost a decade spent in limbo, and is certainly the second most-anticipated Star Wars property this year.

Now that we have an official release date -- after being caught in the code behind Battlefront's website, the official website has pegged Nov. 17 as the release date for PS4, Xbox One and Origin for PC -- there's a new rumor that AMD is going to bundle the game with its release of the latest extreme graphics chips about to debut.

The news comes via Hexus, which found an unsourced report that AMD's release of the next generation Radeon and/or Fury graphics cards will be accompanied by a promotion for a free copy of Star Wars: Battlefront. Since there's no screenshot or promotional materials leaked with the report, we remain skeptical.

But the coincidental timing of AMD's likely release of its next-generation GPUs and judging by the promotional trailers and the fact that neither Origin nor developer DICE have been candid about system requirements for PC gamers -- even while they are accepting pre-orders and promoting early access and additional DLC along with it -- makes it seem possible. If only as an appropriate way for both DICE and AMD to make sure every potential PC gamer has a system capable of handling the next generation of war in a galaxy far, far away.

We'll probably find out if there is a promotional bundle or not come E3, which starts June 16. In the meantime, soak up some sweet, sweet Battlefront action in the latest trailer below.
