Cristiano Ronaldo Transfer to Manchester United News Update: PSG to Buy Real Madrid Superstar for 2016-17 Season?
Cristiano Ronaldo making a transfer to another team is not a new story. This drama has been going on practically since he left Manchester United.
However, it seems that Manchester might not be his next destination if rumors hold true. Instead, Ronaldo might be headed to Paris to play for PSG.
Paris Saint-Germain, one of the richest clubs in the world, might be willing to pick up the current Ballon d'Or holder for the 2016-17 season to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Swede is currently 33 and is set to be a free agent after this upcoming season.
Ronaldo claims to want to finish his career at Real Madrid, but he is currently 11 goals away from becoming the club's top scorer of all time. At 30, it is also feasible that Ronaldo might want to cash in on one final pay day. For Madrid it might be an opportunity for the club to cash in on its top star in order to fund a rebuild that centers on life after Ronaldo.
For PSG, the move could work wonders, especially if the team plans to bring in Paul Pogba. Ronaldo is set to be a full time striker under Rafa Benitez, making him more of a central player that would lead an attack. He would essentially be the same kind of player that Ibrahimovic is. With budding stars in the offensive lines and potential of having Pogba lead the way, Ronaldo could blossom into an even more prolific scorer in Paris.
Inversely Real Madrid could finally Gareth Bale the focal point of its attack, adding other complementary pieces from the money earned from buy Ronaldo.
This is all hypothetical at this point and there stands a chance that the Portuguese star takes his talents to the MLS where he could potentially break newer records.
