Game of Thrones Season 5 'Mother's Mercy' Air Time, Preview & Spoilers: What Big Changes Could Tonight's Finale Bring to Westeros?
Tune into HBO tonight for the Season 5 finale of "Game of Thrones."
Fans do not know what to expect in the "Mother's Mercy" episode since showrunners steered away from the original plots from the George R.R. Martin novel series, Time notes.
In Season 5, one of the biggest shocks was when Sansa Stark returned to Winterfell and was basically forced to marry Ramsay. She continued to be held in his captivity throughout the rest of the season where he raped her every night.
Will she get her revenge against those who hurt her family? There's hope that Sansa will gain the courage to kill Ramsay with the corkscrew she has.
One of the other most shocking scenes was when Stannis sacrificed his daughter this season so that he could become King of Winterfell. His wife is the only family member left now that he has not killed. Will that continue to be true in the season finale?
Stannis' daughter's ill fate may give Sansa an advantage, Forbes spoils. Now that he offered his daughter to the Lord of Light, his army will attack Winterfell giving Sansa and Theon a chance to escape. Brienne may finally break out with the Valyrian steel blade to help save Sansa.
Fans expect that Stannis's army would win the fight against Winterfell but that big battle may be saved for Season 6.
In tonight's episode, what will happen to Cersei while she is still locked away in prison? The title "Mother's Mercy" infers that the Queen Mother would confess to some of her sins as she waits for her trial.
Meanwhile, people are still trying to figure out how Tyrion, Jorah and Daario will all work together effectively. Maybe Varys would finally show up to put things in perspective.
Tune into HBO Sunday night at 9 p.m. to see the season finale of "Game of Thrones."
