Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter Phil Collins has bought the onetime Miami home of another famous singer.

Collins, famed for "Another Day in Paradise" and "Against All Odds," among others, purchased the old Florida mansion of the "On the Floor" singer Jennifer Lopez for $33 million, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing agents involved in the transaction.

The previous owner of the luxury private Miami Beach home was Mark Gainor, a businessman and founder of Lucor Holdings. The listing agent of the property was Nelson Gonzalez of EWM Realty International, a Christie's International Real Estate affiliate. On the other hand, Collins' agent was Mathieu Rochette of Barclay's Real Estate Group.

Gainor reportedly purchased the home from the "Let's Get Loud" singer a decade ago for almost $20 million, almost $14 million less than the current selling price. Gainor sold the home because he plans to settle in the West Coast, according to the Journal.

Although the 64-year-old musician has a place to call home in New York, he always comes to Florida to visit his two sons living in the area, Rochette told the Journal. This could have prompted the music artist to buy the property in Miami. 

Photos of the home, which are available on Zillow, show that perhaps, its most dramatic feature is the curving grand staircase that truly catches anybody's attention. The house also has a neatly-lined hardwood flooring on most living spaces. Meanwhile, the spanning glass panels provide the rooms with magnificent views of the water and the wonderful blue skies.

The expansive Miami home, built in 1929, also boasts a 200-foot frontage facing the Biscayne Bay. Aside from that, the Miami Beach home offers amazing views of the city skyline.

The Los Angeles Times noted that the property has seven bedrooms, eight full bathrooms, a media room, a wine cellar, a gym and and three powder rooms. Outdoors, there is a relaxing courtyard that displays a koi pond, beautiful gardens, grown and majestic palm trees and water-facing swimming pool equipped with spa.
