Floyd Mayweather Jr. has named the two boxers who could get a shot against him in September.

It appears "The Money" team has their eyes set on Andre Berto, a Hatian-American boxer holding a 30-3 win-loss record and Karim Mayfield with a 19-2 record.

"We're looking at two different guys. We're looking at Andre Berto, Karim Mayfield. We just don't know. Those are a couple of names... We just have to wait and see," Mayweather told reporters, including FightHype.com. Mayweather recently defeated Filipino boxer Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas on May 2.

Aside from the two fighters, Mayweather reportedly hinted to the media on Wednesday that English boxer Amir Khan, who recently won over Chris Algieri in late May at the Barclays Center, might actually have a chance. It was noted that this year's highest-paid athlete in the world described Khan as a "solid competitor." However, Mayweather clarified that he is not really indicating that he's entertaining a clash with the boxer. Khan recently called on Mayweather via an Instagram post donning a gigantic glove.

How about Gennady "GGG" Golovkin?

"Everybody was talking to me about him [Golovkin], so I had to take time out to watch this guy, I actually made money on him. Golovkin goes out and does what he has to do, but at my weight right now, I walk around at 150, 148, 150. It could probably be a good fight for me. It probably would. But you know I'm almost finished. I think in September I'm going to choose who I want to choose," said Mayweather. Then, he reiterated that he would probably choose Berto and Mayfield to prepare him for his 50th match.

However, based on the way Mayweather delivered the news, it's unclear if he was really serious of facing the two boxers, noted Boxing News 24. If what he said were true, he will then have to sacrifice the financial outcome of the match as it may generate low PPVs, the site added.

Furthermore, another observation from the sports site noted that fans would be happier seeing the elite boxer collide with Golovkin as he himself is undefeated with several knock out wins, rather than Khan, Mayfield, Berto and even Saul "Canelo" Alvarez who already amassed a couple of losses on their end.
