Bárbara Bermudo, host of Univision's "Primer Impacto," is a mother of two and expecting her third child. Now in her final trimester, Bermudo has opted to offer up home-stretch pregnancy pointers to first-time mothers via her blog.
With years of mothering experience under her belt, Bermudo is in the position to share sound advice to expectant mothers. She warns that women should wear comfortable shoes and avoid heels during the third trimester because it's important to care for one's feet. With that said, she indicated that an occasional heel is fine if it provides comfort and support. Also, in regards to comfort, Bermudo recommends pieces of clothing "that are easy to get into and out of and are soft to the touch."
The television personality additionally recommends that the "name conversation" take place sooner rather than later because the selection of a name is not an easy process. Also, it's a good idea to pack the hospital bag at the beginning of the third-trimester because it's possible to go into labor early. Key essentials to be included in the "go bag" are undergarments, a camera, pajamas, a nursing bra, soft blankets, toiletries, a going-home outfit for the baby and warm socks.
