The onetime Hollywood Hills home of the late A-list actor, Marlon Brando, is up for sale.

The property is listed for nearly $3.5 million, Los Angeles Times reported. The seasoned actor, who received his Oscar awards for the movies "On the Waterfront" (1954) and "The Godfather" (1972), reportedly resided in the private abode in the 1950s.

The more than 4,000-square-foot California house is noted to be designed by Paul Williams, also known as an "Architect to the Hollywood Stars." Bret Parsons, head of the architectural division of Beverly Hills real estate company, John Aaroe Group, explained why a lot of celebrities appreciate Williams' works. According to him, the architect's masterpieces "possess grace, design and elegant proportions, which attracted people with money and taste," noted NPR.org.

"They're gobbled up in seconds. They're an absolute pedigree for someone to have in their arsenal," Parsons said, as quoted by the website.

Based on the photos published on the Times, the home definitely speaks of grace and elegance. Spanning glass panels make the home vibrant as they allow the natural warmth and glow of the morning sun to enter and fill the house. Its predominant white motif speaks of sophistication and immaculate beauty, enhanced with the right contrast of dark-colored wooden flooring and elegant home furnishings.

The Times also described the old gated home of the actor as a well-maintained property, despite being built in the late 1930s.

The estate sits on more than two-thirds of an acre of California lot, which features four bedrooms including a master suite, a living room, a dining room, a sun room and a renovated kitchen.

Other living spaces of the Hollywood Hills estate are two guest suites, a family room with access to a lush backyard, and a study room.

Outdoors, the new owners will find delight on the grounds that display a sports court, a barbecue area, and a bamboo forest.

There is also a swimming pool with a nearby fountain and outdoor lounge that complete the grounds.
