'Consider Me Gone' Singer Reba McEntire Sells Beverly Park Property for $22.25M
Country music superstar Reba McEntire is unloading her luxury property in Beverly Park.
The two-time Grammy-winning singer, famed for Billboard hits such as "Consider Me Gone" and "If You See Him, If You See Her," has sold her California estate in an off-market deal for $22.25 million, Los Angeles Times reported. The talented diva, who is the mother-in-law of American Idol first season winner, Kelly Clarkson, originally purchased the L.A. home for only $9 million in 2003, noted the news outlet, citing real estate property records.
The new owners of the onetime McEntire home will experience the same level of privacy in the tightly-secured community for high-profile residents like Hollywood actors Denzel Washington, Sylvester Stallone, singer Rod Stewart and even billionaire businessmen.
The Agency chief executive Mauricio Umansky described just how posh the community is. "It's the most prestigious enclave for high-end residential real estate in Los Angeles," Umansky told Forbes in 2013. The neighborhood may only be accessed through guarded checkpoints, making it a truly "paparazzi-proof development."
If security is not tight enough, the newly-bought McEntire residence can also speak for itself. It is said to be covered from outside by grown trees.
Aside from the security, the home has several notable features. The lush grounds display a swimming pool equipped with a spa, a pond, a fountain and a tennis court.
The nearly 9,200-square-foot home resting on the 1.8-acre lot consists of 7 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms. The main residence also comes with a formal living room, a dining room, a family room with a wet bar, an eat-in kitchen and a billiards room, a source told Variety.
Although the transaction was sealed in a discreet manner, the Times found out that Brian Adler of John Aaroe Group represented McEntire in the deal while brothers Josh and Matt Altman of Douglas Elliman represented the undisclosed buyer.
The singer, who also acted in a TV series named after her, "Reba," still has a nearly 80-acre spread in Tennessee, which she describes as "magical." The singer invited the crew of People to tour the sprawling farm compound in 2009.
