GTA 5 Online Cheats for PS3 and Xbox: New Infinite Money Glitch Found Despite Rockstar Games Update
Despite Rockstar Games' efforts to prevent Grand Theft Auto Online gamers from using cheats and glitches to get bundles of GTA$, reports say that gamers have discovered a new infinite money glitch.
Last week, Rockstar Games released a patch designed to eliminate bugs that give players unfair amounts of GTA$ without the hard work of robbing and shooting. According to GTA Onliner, however, there is still a way to score some unwarranted cash.
"When a player gets an insured vehicle impounded, they can have a mechanic send them a new vehicle as soon as they respawn," the website explains. "However, with the proper timing, they can then request their personal vehicle -- which the game recognizes as the impounded car. The version that has been impounded will be destroyed, which allows the player to have it replaced, while retaining the version that was brought to them. This effectively duplicates the car, and they can sell the extra to quickly earn money."
Not every gamer has been able to make the glitch work, however, as some players report that the bug has failed them, but there are more reasons that dedicated Grand Theft Auto Online players might want to avoid this cheat.
Rockstar Games has promised plenty of consequences for those who continue to cheat despite the game developer's crackdown. In addition to taking unlimited money away from sneaky players, Rockstar Games said it will punish gamers by sending them to cheater pools where they cannot access the game, and banning them from Grand Theft Auto Online, at Rockstar Games' "discretion."
"We will continue to issue title updates on an ongoing basis to counter the negative impact this has had on gameplay..." Rockstar Games said via its Newswire page.
Those considering doing some underhanded car replication should also beware that fellow gamers are being encouraged to snitch on cheaters.
"Should you ever encounter someone in GTA Online that appears to be taking advantage of exploits in your session, we ask that you alert us directly via the in-game reporting functionality," Rockstar Games said.
