The recently-signed Dallas Cowboys' running back Darren McFadden is parting with his Oakland home.

The Arkansas-born NFL player is selling his property for $2.3 million, Los Angeles Times reported. The the former Oakland Raider puchased the estate, sitting on nearly one-half acre of land, for $2.15 million, just a year after the home was completely built, added the Times.

The Mediterranean-inspired private residence greets visitors through a living space with elegant soaring ceilings. Other notable living areas in the property of the player, who tallied 534 rushing yards and two touchdowns last season, as noted by ESPN, include a total of five bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms, a formal living room, a dining room, and a kitchen with a dining area.

The future owners of the abode will also have a relaxing stay in the comfort of their own master suite. The suite comes with its own fireplace, displays a bath tub and has its own personal balcony, providing more views of the great surroundings.

The luxury home's expansive grounds are highlighted with a swimming pool equipped with a spa. Meanwhile, the carefully-maintained lawn also features a covered patio.

Aside from these remarkable features, the property, which is just located above the Leona Canyon Regional Open Space Preserve, promises a wonderful day of scenery for the next unit owners. Impressive and panoramic views of the city skyline and the ocean will amaze the buyers of the Oakland estate.

New Start with Dallas

McFadden signed a two year-contract worth $5.85 million in March with the Cowboys. He gained entry in the Cowboys' lineup through DeMarco Murray's move for the Philadelphia Eagles, which gave Murray a five-year deal worth $40 million, with $21 million guaranteed, as posted on Spotrac.com.

The situation concerning Murray gave McFadded, who appeared in all 16 games of the Raiders last season, his break with his new team.

"I always kept my eye on Dallas. I figured whatever happened with DeMarco Murray's situation would have an impact on my situation. I feel like it worked out great for me... It's a fresh start being here in Dallas. Couldn't have been a better place," the excited McFadden, who admittedly is a big Cowboys' fan, shared with DallasCowboys.com.
