Everyone knows that the "Transformers" movie franchise is one massive big-screen advertisement for Hasbro's toys. But we can't really complain since the movies about realistically-looking robots transforming into cars (or vice versa) were very awesome.

And now, with the impending release of "Transformers: Age of Extinction", Hasbro is once again teasing children and kids-at-heart with images of the toy line for the upcoming film. ComingSoon.net reports the company's "Age of Extinction" toy line is headlined by the first edition Optimus Prime action figure.

Like its toy predecessors, Optimus is a robot-to-truck transformer toy. But it has new features to match those of the remodeled character in the latest movie. The toy is over 10 inches tall and features rubber tires, metallic embellishes, and additional accessories such as the Sword of Judgment and the Sentinel Shield.

Toy fans can get their hands on the new Optimus Prime action figure for the price of $59.99 by purchasing it from the Transformers Headquarters Shop, a recently-launched online store on Amazon.

The store also features other "Transformers"-related merchandise such as backpacks, clothes, and of course, more toys. The action figures range from the classic cartoon-based toys to those modeled after the characters from the recent films.

Late last year, Transformers World released a list for their "Age of Extinction" line of toys. Apart from the Autobots' leader, other notable names that appeared on the list were Grimlock and Galvatron.

For those of you who are familiar with the "Transformers" cartoon universe, Grimlock is the leader of the Dinobots, a sub-faction of the Autobots. As suggested in their group's name, he and the rest of the Dinobots transform into various dinosaurs.

On the other hand, the name Galvatron refers to various characters in the story. But he is more popularly known as the resurrected and more powerful Megatron who destroyed Starscream to reclaim his position as the leader of the Decepticons.
