Premios Tu Mundo 2015 Nominations, News: J Balvin, Yandel, Olga Tañón Among Performers Confirmed for Awards Show
The performers for the 2015 Premios Tu Mundo have been announced and the list includes a variety of Latino music veterans and newcomers.
Telemundo released a list of the confirmed performers that includes urban artists Farruko, Yandel and J Balvin, who is also a first time nominee for Best Urban Artist.
Female performers include pop singer Yuri, rock singer Alejandra Guzmán, merengue veteran Olga Tañón, who also performed at the 2014 ceremony, and singer and actress Lucero.
Salsa legend Victor Manuelle, Regulo Caro, and Banda Sinaloense MS de Sergio Lizárraga will also be performing, along with Jencarlos Canela and Ky-Mani Marley, the son of reggae legend Bob Marley, who will take the stage with Canela.
Along with performers, Telemundo also released a list of guests scheduled to make appearances and present awards during the ceremony. The list includes Adamari López, Angélica María, Gabriel Coronel, Daniela Navarro, Fernando Castillo, Maria Celeste, Ximena Duque, Ana María Polo, Juan Pablo Llano, Maritza Rodríguez, Litzy, and several more.
According to Billboard, fans can now go online and vote for their favorite artists, telenovela actors and television moments in 30 different categories until Aug. 13.
Newcomer Nicky Jam and Enrique Iglesias are the most nominated artists with two nominations each, including a shared nomination for their song hit song "El Perdón," which is up for Best Song.
Bachata sensation Romeo Santos is nominated for Best Tropical Artist with music veterans Juan Luis Guerra, Victor Manuelle and Marc Anthony. Other artists nominated in music categories include reggaeton artists Daddy Yankee and Wisin, bachata singer Prince Royce, and Natalia Jiménez.
Telenovelas nominated include "Tierra de Reyes," "Reina de Corazones" and "Los Miserables."
This will be the fourth year that Premios Tu Mundo airs. The awards will be presented live from the American Airlines Arena in Miami on Aug. 20.
