Emmy Award-winning British actor Ian McShane is joining "Game of Thrones" for Season 6.

The HBO hit series has not revealed any details about the "Deadwood" actor's character, but we do know that he will only have a little bit of screen time, according to Entertainment Weekly. Will he get killed off like so many other characters in the George R.R. Martin series?

Season 6 is the most mysterious season of the hit drama yet. Showrunners will continue to completely steer away from the exact plots written by the famous author leaving fans in the dark about what will happen next.

Although we do not know who McShane will play, we do know that his character will be of key importance.

McShane is best known for his role in "Deadwood" but has landed roles in "Kung Fu Panda," "Sexy Beast," "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides," "John Wick" and many others. He is one of the most recognizable actors to ever sign on with the HBO series.

Meanwhile, fans are still discussing the news of Jon Snow's death at the end of Season 5. Is he dead? Is he alive? Will he come back as a White Walker? Or would the Lord of Light priestess Melisandre (Carice van Houten) bring him back to life? The much anticipated next season should answer all of the questions.

Yet, showrunners have said Jon Snow is really dead, even telling President Barack Obama he is "deader than dead," according to Entertainment Weekly.

Director David Nutter ran into the president at Comic-Con last month where the leader asked about one of his "favorite characters." The director confirmed that the famous character is actually gone.

"I thought I was going to be sent to Guantanamo or something, but fortunately I'm here - but he's dead," Nutter confirmed.

Fans do not believe the news especially after seeing Harington in Spain at the start of filming Season 6 sporting the long locs of the famous Jon Snow.

"Game of Thrones" is returning to the small screen next spring with 10 new exciting episodes.

HBO recently revealed the hit show will also be renewed for an eighth season and may go for longer than that.
