'Grimm' Season 5 Spoilers: Actress Claire Coffee Opens Up About How New Baby Will Change Adalind [Video]
Apparently, both Nick (David Giuntoli) and Adalind (Claire Coffee) will undergo major changes and adjustments when their new baby is born in Season 5 of "Grimm."
As fans may recall, Adalind revealed that she was pregnant with Nick's child at the end of Season 4. While speaking at Comic-Con in San Diego last month, Coffee opened up about how Adalind will change after having Nick's baby.
"She's now having this other child with Nick and sticking around Portland, she's really finally is like, 'Wait, this is all I've got in the world and now I really have to make it work. I have no dungeons to distract me, no Royal family to be aligning myself with.' She is committing to making it work," Coffee told ShowBiz Junkies.
Coffee also said that the new baby will inspire Adalind to want to better herself.
"This baby is all she's got in the world ... She's lost her powers again, but I think this time the focus will be the baby and finding a job," she said at Comic-Con, according to CarterMatt.
During the interview, Coffee dismissed the possibility that Adalind will begin fighting crime with Nick and the gang once her baby is born.
"I don't know. I think the Scooby Gang is a little thick at this point," said the actress. "Adalind was a lawyer; she has to get a job at this point. So I think maybe she will consult on legal issues with them. But I think the baby is going to be her main tie to them."
Coffee added that Season 5 of "Grimm" will include elements from the first season.
"We're getting back to where 'Grimm' began. Even with Adalind and Nick, there is a conversation between the two of them. She was the first woge that he saw back in the pilot, so it is getting back to what does it mean to be a Wesen and a Grimm. And I think it's just re-infusing all the characters with different energies," Coffee teased. "The scripts I've read so far have been pretty awesome."
Season 5 of "Grimm" will premiere on NBC on Oct. 30.
