FC Barcelona forward Pedro is continuously being linked to a move out of Camp Nou, and it remains to be seen whether or not the Spain international will move to Manchester United this season.

According to FC Barcelona club secretary Robert Fernandez, Pedro reportedly requested for a move out of the team because of the lack of opportunity to shine because of the loaded attacking options for Barca.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is reportedly interested in acquiring Pedro to improve their striking options after parting ways with Angel Di Maria and Robin van Persie during the offseason.

Fernandez insisted, though, that they will not give up Pedro easily, insisting that an interested team should agree to their non-negotiable asking price.

"Pedro asked us for the transfer," Pedro told TV3 as reported by ESPN FC. "We are not going to accept less than €30 million for him, it's not negotiable."

But when Pedro was asked about his alleged transfer request, the 28-year-old denied Fernandez's claims.

"The sports director says I said I want out? He shouldn't say that," Pedro told The Guardian. "I barely talked with him. I talked with the president and others."

Pedro, who has spent his entire senior club career at Camp Nou, said that he wants to continue playing for FC Barcelona if he will have it his way, but he also admitted that there are several factors to consider in the future, such as his playing time and role.

"The answer is no," Pedro said, when asked if he wants to move soon. "But it's complicated for many things. It's not for money, as has been said -- which is another lack of respect. It's a question of continuity, of minutes. I'm an ambitious player. Stay or go, I will always be of this team."

Pedro wants to start for FC Barcelona, but he is not expected to get his wish anytime soon. Neymar missed their UEFA Super Cup match against Sevilla on Tuesday night, but coach Luis Enrique opted to start Rafinha. Pedro came off the bench, and eventually scored the game-winning goal in the 115th minute.

FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi was asked about Pedro's situation following their victory. Messi said that he is unsure of Pedro's plan, but he said he will support his teammate whatever happens in the future.

"The players and the club don't know what he is going to do," Messi said of Pedro, who has scored 98 goals in 318 appearances for FC Barcelona. "It is his decision, but whatever he does we wish him the best."
