'iZombie' Season 2 Spoilers: Major & Liv Romance Update, Guest Stars & More Details Revealed
It seems love will be lovelier the second time around for Major and Liv in "iZombie" Season 2.
The show's executive producer, Diane Ruggiero-Wright, told Hollywood Life that Major (Robert Buckley) and Liv (Rose McIver) could be back in each other's arms next season.
"There better be! How could you not? We lucked out when we cast Lowell (Bradley James), because he can compete with Buckley and the Major character. I really think that there is potential for them. We're not very schmuck-baity, and if they're broken apart, it's not going to be like, every week they have a fight and then they break up. We're not the type to just jerk people around. If they end, they end and then they get back together, it'll be for a good reason. There's hope, definitely," Ruggiero-Wright revealed.
Last season, fans were devastated when Liv received a cold treatment from Major despite her saving his life in the season finale, "Blaine's World."
More challenges for Liv
Liv, who became a zombie after Blaine (David Anders) scratched her, will have more struggles next season. Ruggiero-Wright shared that Liv would have to address her family after she refused to donate blood to her seriously injured brother, thinking of course that she would infect him.
That would be a great dilemma to start the season. However, the series developer revealed that Liv could face more "pressure."
"I can't be specific about it, but it's going to be her in a preventing crimes mode, also," she said.
Could it be that the zombie apocalypse is already coming?
Additional characters
The villain Blaine, who was reverted to his human self courtesy of Liv, previously said he has "Daddy issues." In Season 2, viewers will meet his father who will be portrayed by Robert Knepper of "Heroes" and "Prison Break," according to TV Fanatic.
Aside from Knepper "Veronica Mars" actor Adam Rose will also appear in Season 2.
