Hillary Clinton hired an experienced adviser to lead Latino media for her presidential campaign ahead of the 2016 elections.

The Clinton campaign confirmed that Harry Reid's senior adviser to Latino media, Jorge Silva, is going to work on the former secretary of state's campaign, according to Buzzfeed.

Adding Silva to the team shows Clinton's initiative in bringing more Latinos to work on her campaign. It also gives the Democrat a push in the swing state of Nevada where Silva has experience.

The adviser has worked on projects that developed and implemented Latino media strategy in states like Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico and some parts of California.

"In a campaign full of spokespeople, in a well-established operation, you don't need another spokesperson. You need someone to run the operation and make sure folks in the states are being heard," Nathaly Arriola said of Silva.

Arriola worked with Silva under Reid and served on President Barack Obama's Latino media team during his reelection campaign. She said that Silva was behind the scenes for every major push the Democratic Party engaged in for the Latino community.

Clinton's campaign has a strong team in Nevada now that Silva is added to the team. Silva joins state director Emmy Ruiz and organizing director Jorge Neri when he starts work on Monday.

Meanwhile, Republicans and federal judges are still gunning Clinton with the email scandal, Politico reports.

Huma Abedin is now added as a central figure in the email scandal. Investigators are likely to ask her about her access to Clinton's system.

"It's election season, and congressional Republicans are running the same series of plays, just on a different field," said Nick Merrill, spokesman for the Clinton Campaign.

The FBI is currently looking at Clinton's email arrangement after she handed over thousands of pages to the State Department.
