‘Supernatural’ Star Jensen Ackles Finds Season 1 Impala in Disrepair [Pic]

Producers of the hit TV show "Supernatural" on the CW have been promising for quite some time now that a fan favorite would be returning for Season 11 of the immensely popular horror show. But no one ever though that would come in the form of a car.

Although that is also untrue, it was star Jensen Ackles that took a walk down memory lane when he found the original Impala that was used in Season 1 of the show. That was over a decade ago, according to Ackles Facebook page.

As most die-hard fans may remember, the car was demolished by a truck at the end of the season. The scene was supposed to be used for a dual purpose, given that the producers had no idea if the show would get an order for Season 2 at the time.

But it did get that Season 2, and the Winchester boys survived. Sadly, their father did not. But that car wreck was supposed to be what wrapped up the series in case they were canceled, and now, 10 years later, the car sits in a junk pile with weeds and wild growth all over it.

"While filming yesterday I noticed an old hollowed out car sitting off in the background. I wandered over and there she was. Ten years later. The ORIGINAL Impala from Season 1. The one that got hit by the truck in the finale. That's right, we still have her. I had no idea. It's been over a decade since I've seen this car, and yet she's still here...hiding in the shadows. I guess you're never really dead on this show. ‪#‎Nostalgia ‪#‎Baby," Ackles wrote on his page accompanied by him with several pictures of the car.

Ackles clearly was smitten toward the nostalgia, taking many photographs of the car in its state of disrepair. He also photographed himself inside of it.
