Showrunners of The CW series, "iZombie," promises a more interesting show and a "different" Liv in Season 2.

Series developers Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero-Wright told Comic Book Resources (CBR) that they have something "new" in store for the lead character, Liv Moore (Rose McIver), and for the whole show for the second installment.

"The way Liv eats brains will be different this year... Last year we would break a murder case first and then figure out what are the other stories going on. I think just little bit of switch in priorities...we are kind of starting with all the other things going on in the episode and then finding a murder case that fits those," Thomas told CBR.

The show's followers could appreciate this change, as it seems a natural path to take. In the last two episodes of the first season, everything important in Liv's life had crumbled, and they shoud be properly addressed in Season 2.

First, her bestfriend and roommate Peyton (Aly Michalka) abandoned her upon knowing of her zombie identity even though Liv saved her from another zombie. Second, her ex-fiance, Major (Robert Buckley), was also mad when he learned the truth and more especially, when she turned him into a zombie by scratching him, in order to save his life.

Third, she refused to give blood to her brother, Evan(Nick Purcha), when he was seriously injured because she didn't want to turn him into something like her. Thus, it would make her mother, who didn't know why she did that, be hurt and angry with her, too.

In Hollywood Life, Ruggiero-Wright said that Liv will have a "fall out from everybody knowing about her secret" and "there's going to be a new pressure on her."

Yet, it does not mean that fans will just be expecting heavy scenes or pure drama next season. Thomas shared that viewers will have fun watching her.

"Also like we've grown smarter in figuring out what brains of the week work very well for the show. It helps if it's like a big type, archetype, that we can ask Rose [McIver] to put on each week because we can find the jokes easier, people relate to it more," Thomas said.

Recently, Liv posted on her Twitter account of a photo hinting what the characater may be up to in Season 2. She shows perfectly-manicured nails, which fans reacted to with various theories. One fan thinks she has acquired a model's brain, while another thinks she got one from a reality TV star.

Could this be one of the changes the showrunners are saying? Tune in on Oct. 6. at 9:00 p.m. (ET).
