Although we are still many months from a new episode of “Outlander,” fans are curious about what is being filmed for season 2. Though the season will be set almost exclusively in France, some have wondered whether Black Jack Randall returns after Wentworth prison. According to some leaked photos, he does.

The Daily Record obtained some photos of Sam Heughan (Jamie Fraser) and Tobias Menzies (Frank Randall/Black Jack Randall) in full costume, acting out a duel scene in Glasgow's Pollock County Park.

Despite the fact that a great deal of the second book -- which is informing the next season -- is based in France, the bulk of the action still takes place in Scotland. Ron Moore, the show's executive producer, had previously mentioned scenes will be filmed in England and the Czech Republic but these shots also suggest Scotland.

The hit time travel romance, based on a series of highly acclaimed and widely read novels by Diana Gabaldon, has gone from being a pop cultural phenomenon to a bona fide bit of Scottish culture in general.

On the Sept. 5, the Highland Folk Museum in Newtonmore -- an open-air museum which has served as the location for several scenes of the Starz series -- will hold its first day dedicated to both the show and the novels that inspired it.

As reported in the BBC, the “Outlander Day” will include demonstrations of weaving, cooking, and wood turning, as well as informative talks regarding the period of the 1700s. Aside from a historically accurate display representing 18th century life, there will also be a reconstruction of a British Army red coats' camp.

There is no word yet as to whether or not any of the stars of the hit show will make it to the event, but Sam Heughan is definitely close enough to stop by.

The Evening Times is reporting that over the weekend, the actor took part in a lunchtime spin class in Glasgow. A woman who witnessed Hueghan working out at a class at Glasgow's Caledonian University, said, "He was just like everyone else and I doubt many people knew who he was.”

"I watch the show and love it which is why I spotted him," said the lucky fan.

"Outlander" returns to Starz in 2016.
