On the Sept. 5, the Highland Folk Museum in Newtonmore – an open-air museum, which served as the location for several scenes of the Starz series -- will hold its first day dedicated to both the show and the novels that inspired it.
“Outlander,” a time travel fantasy which was just given Entertainment Weekly’s award for Best Drama of 2015, has garnering some very interesting praise from Vanity Fair’s Richard Lawson, who called the show “the oddest, hardest-to-pin-down series currently airing.
When season 2 of the Starz time travel hit “Outlander” airs in 2016, the characters will find themselves in 18th century Paris, busy trying to change world events by ingratiating themselves into Louis XV’s court.
Ron Moore, the series creator whose previous high profiled projects include work on “Star Trek” and the revamped “Battlestar Galactica” was enthusiastic about the what is in store for sci-fi series, promising fans “new sets, a new show—it’s going to be a whole new Outlander this season.”
