Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors is not looking towards 2017, saying that free agency does not appeal to him at all.

According to the Hang Time Blog, Curry is not all concerned that in the Golden State Warrior team, he's fifth on the highest paid player list and will just take home $11 million next season. In his interview with Jimmy Spencer, Curry said "As I am thinking right now, free agency isn't really appealing to me because I love where I'm at, love the organization I'm playing for and the Bay Area is home for me and my family".

His $44 million contract with the Golden State Warriors that started in 2012 has humbly given the champion a salary cap of $11 million per season with a final $12.1 million in his final season with the Warriors. With one more season left, Curry is not in a hurry to sell himself, and if the case of a not-so-appealing 2017 free agency sticks to him, fans may still see him as part of the Warriors team after the 2017 free agency. Apparently, the reigning NBA champion is not after the money, but about the team he's trying to keep after helping them win the 2014-2015 NBA seasons.

He also added that with all the frenzy about the not-so-near free agency, his best move at the moment is to stay and improve himself while he's still on the team. According to ESPN, if Curry decides on the free agency, he can max his salary on a five-year contract, a chance to add up to his current salary with the Warriors.

In a one-on-one with Stephen Curry featured on probasketballtalk.com, he was asked whether he had some time to relax during the offseason, and he said that he's definitely been even for just a little bit.

The frenzy of moving a lot from state to state during the season has definitely been an experience, but with the championship that they're still basking on and the addition to his family brood, he's definitely been feeling the moment.

Curry has been enjoying playing golf during the offseason, which he enjoys as part of his recreational movement before entering another season of pro basketball. "It's been a pretty crazy summer celebrating good things, great things, but there's also been a good amount of time to reflect on how special it was," says Curry.
