Rockstar Games has released another version of Grand Theft Auto, but it is not the game that Grand Theft Auto V fans have been expecting.

Recently, Rockstar Games announced that Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is now available for Windows Phones.

"Rockstar Games brings its biggest release to mobile yet with a vast open-world covering the state of San Andreas and its three major cities - Los Santos, San Fierro and Las Venturas - with enhanced visual fidelity and over 70 hours of gameplay," Microsoft said.

Back in December, Rockstar Games announced that the PlayStation 2 game was coming to Android, iOS and Windows mobile devices. When the game was released, however, a Windows version was missing.

"PLEASE NOTE: Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is only supported on the following devices: Nokia Lumia: 1520, 1320, 822, 820, 810, HTC: 8XT...*" Microsoft announced.

The game is priced at $6.99. According to WPCentral, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas does not support Xbox Live.

Despite releasing multiple new versions of its 2004 video game, Rockstar Games has yet to appease fan demand for Grand Theft Auto V PC. Last week, Strauss Zelnick, Take-Two Interactive CEO, said that company is interested in releasing Grand Theft Auto V on devices that its customers own presently or will own in the future.

"If that is where consumers are, absolutely [we'll release our game on that], but we wouldn't drive them there," Strauss said. "We would just be there if they are there."

For the past few weeks, PC gamers have found hope in Amazon, whose Germany store has a listing for Grand Theft Auto V PC, and whose French site used to have the same. Amazon Germany lists Grand Theft Auto V PC as compatible with Windows 7 and Windows Vista but does not list minimum system requirements. The game is priced at 60 euros. In addition, Czech retailer SuperGamer recently added the game for PC, PS4 and Xbox One to its website. It claims the games will be available starting June 13. Fans say the rumor has at least some credibility as June 13 is a Friday, a popular day for developers to release games.
