'Game of Thrones' Season 6 Spoilers: The Hound Might Be Back
With a new season of "Game of Thrones" approaching, speculations are always being thrown in the air.
Rumors say that The Hound (Rory McCann) might still be alive and that there is proof, The Telegraph reports. Is it true?
The Hound was last seen on the HBO hit series in 2014 near the end of Season 4 when Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) stabbed him to death. Although fans never saw The Hound die, it was clear that he might be dead after being stabbed so brutally and left out in the cold like that.
McCann has been spotted at a hotel in Belfast where "Game of Thrones" actors usually go to. Does this mean that he was on set? Maybe fans would see more of him in Season 6.
Meanwhile, McCann's character was also added to the "Fallen Fan Favorites" action figure collection adding more confusion to his final fate, Vanity Fair noted.
Fans also saw Jon Snow actor Kit Harington near the set not too long ago, raising speculation that he is still alive despite showrunners saying he is not. What's going on with the next season? Will it be some sort of "Rise of the Dead" edition?
As for other dead characters that are predicted to be alive, Stannis (Stephen Dillane) is on that list. A fan asked author George R.R. Martin if Stannis was alive or not on Live Journal.
"In my books? Alive, beyond a doubt," he said.
But does that mean Stannis is still alive in the series? We all know that the HBO drama has taken on its own path steering away from Martin's original plot so don't get your hopes up just yet.
Brienne may get her sword dirty in the next season after waiting around for three months for a candle to light up. Will Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) finally have the guts to kill her crazy husband and light the candle for Brienne to come to the rescue?
You'll have to wait for Season 6 of "Game of Thrones" to premiere on HBO to find out.
