'Kingdom Hearts 3' Release Date: Big Hero 6 Concept Art Released
Sora and his friends will soon have new characters to team up with in their adventures in the upcoming "Kingdom Hearts 3." Square Enix has previously confirmed that "Big Hero 6" will be a new world in the game. A recently released concept art teased on how Baymax will work with Sora in fighting their enemies, as per Gaming Bolt.
At the recent D23 Expo, Kingdom Heart uploaded a video on YouTube, showing Disney producer Roy Conli talking about the third iteration of the popular game and the inclusion of Baymax and friends as a new world.
Conli stated that the story of "Big Hero 6" complements the idea of "Kingdom Hearts" with its plotlines of friendship and "light over darkness."
Aside from the announcement video, the people from Square Enix also showed a concept art that featured Sora wielding a sword and riding a flying Baymax as they fight a huge enemy in the sky.
According to the Disney producer, the world of "Big Hero 6" will start from the end of the events in the movie when Hiro, Baymax and their friends have already joined forces together to create a superhero crew that will fight evil.
Aside from the city of San Frantokyo, the world of Rapunzel and Flynn Ryder in "Tangled" will also be part of the upcoming video game. However, it is not yet confirmed if both characters will be included as well.
Meanwhile, fans who are eager to play the old Disney worlds featured in "Kingdom Hearts" and "Kingdom Hearts 2," might be disappointed to know that their favorite levels might not make the cut in the next title.
In an interview with game director Tetsuya Nomura by Ruliweb, the director revealed that some locations used in the previous titles will not be included.
"Any map used in the first two [numbered] Kingdom Hearts games will not appear in Kingdom Hearts 3," stated Nomura.
But before fans protest, the statement might mean that old locations might not be seen again but worlds and levels made from popular Disney movies can still be added into the game.
While "Aladdin's" Agrabah might not be seen again, Nomura's statement can also mean that a different location from the movie can be included instead.
Other information and details about "Kingdom Hearts 3" remain scarce and no release date has been set yet.
Square Enix is developing the third iteration for both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One game consoles.
