The "Harry Potter" world continues to live on in the minds of the Potterheads and J.K. Rowling herself! Sept. 1, 2015 marked James Sirius Potter's first day at Hogwarts, as told in the last chapter of the "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." The acclaimed author celebrated the first day of Hogwarts classes by sorting the older kids of the new generation in their respective Houses.

Rowling first acknowledged the special day by tweeting in her official account, "I'm in Edinburgh, so could somebody at King's Cross wish James S Potter good luck for me? He's starting at Hogwarts today. #BackToHogwarts"

The fans, among the most dedicated in the world, responded enthusiastically. Soon, the "Harry Potter" author posted another tweet that included a new tidbit about the younger generation of the wizarding world.

"Have just heard that James S Potter has been Sorted (to nobody's surprise) into Gryffindor. Teddy Lupin (Head Boy, Hufflepuff) disappointed," Rowling's caption read.

While many Potterheads have guessed the Houses of the new generation wizards, this is the first confirmation the fanbase has gotten from Rowling herself.

It's not so surprising that James Sirius Potter was Sorted into the bravest House in Hogwarts. After all, his parents Harry and Ginny Potter are both proud Gryffindors, as well as his namesakes James Potter and Sirius Black.

Harry's godson Teddy Lupin as a Hufflepuff is no surprise also since his late mother Nymphadora Tonks grew up as a Hufflepuff. His father Remus Lupin, who was part of the Marauders with the older Potter and Black, was a Gryffindor. Both Tonks and Lupin died in the Battle of Hogwarts.

The "Harry Potter" world lives on in many ways, including a new spin-off movie that's set apart from the beloved characters of the franchise but a significant part of the world. "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is a published book that's actually a Hogwarts textbook that's required reading for Harry, Ron and Hermione.

According to the Guardian, Academy Award-winner Eddie Redmayne will star as Newt Scamander with Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol and Colin Farrell alongside him. The setting is 70 years before the events of the seven-book series, and Rowling wrote the script herself so fans can rest assured that the film will be completely canon. If all things go according to plan, Warner Bros. may be looking at a new hit franchise since they are reportedly hoping for a trilogy on this series.

"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is set to be released in November 2016.
