ABC has recently revealed the final cast for "Dancing With The Stars" season 21 and something is amiss — Artem Chigvintsev is not included despite appearing in all their preseason prep.

According to the Hidden Remote, he was already included in the show's official poster, featuring him alongside Peta Murgatroyd. On Aug. 19, when ABC made the announcement of the nine professional dancers of season 21, Chigvintsev was again included. However, during the final revelation last Sept. 2, his name was surprisingly omitted from the list.

The lingering confusion on the supposed omission did not quite sit well with his fans as they ranted about the incident. Fellow pro dancer Peta Murgatroyd was clearly sidelined because of an injury that could last another eight weeks of recovery. That left Artem the question as to why he was omitted at the last minute, when everything else seemed to be finalized and ready to roll.

Ditching a pro has not been the show's expertise, not to mention letting them go at the last minute. This type of incident is normally done when there are injuries that incapacitate a contestant. In the case of Artem, he was dropped without a valid cause.

To clear things straight, he took to Twitter the cause of his omission on the final cut. "Due to last minute casting changes, I will not be competing with a celeb this season. But don't worry; I will still be dancing with the pros in the ballroom," he said.

According to Cartermatt, Artem assured that despite his omission, he will not be totally removed from the show; instead he will still be part of a group routine and the possibility of an appearance of a co-pro dancer for a special routine.

Variety has the full list of the final contenders for "Dancing With The Stars" season 21, which includes Bindi Irwin with Derek Hough, Victor Espinoza with Karina Smirnoff, Gary Busey with Anna Trebunskaya, Nick Carter with Sharna Burgess, Paula Deen with Louis Van Amstel and many more. The list did not include Artem.

The two biggest and notable incidents have been the absence of Artem Chigvintsev and the fact that none from "The Bachelor" franchise joined the contest. Prior to the event, Kaitlyn Bristowe's name has been floating in and out of the picture, but none of the rumors sufficed. Len Goodman will not appear as a judge on the season 21 of the show, but may still keep an appearance on selected episodes.
