Offensive tackle Jordan Mills will be sporting the Dallas Cowboys jersey this 2015 season.

Mills, who entered the NFL via a fifth rounder pick from the Chicago Bears in 2013, received unfortunate news on Sunday when the Chicago Bears waived him. The bit about him being cut was leaked via ProFootball Talk's sources.

"It's kind of shocking. But it's a part of the business. Some things, you never want it to happen to you, but you've got to move on from it. I wish the Bears nothing but success this year. It's saddening, but the Bears are always going to be a part of me," Mills told Chicago Tribune.

"I completely understand that, so I wish them all the best. It's time for me to go help somebody else that needs tackle help," the six-foot-five, 316-pound football athlete added.

Yet, before the 24-year-old player could even grieve properly, move on and then look for another team, he already received great news that he would not be left without a camp for this upcoming season.

Citing NFL media Insider Ian Rapoport and his source with knowledge of the matter, NFL.com reported that the offensive tackle will be joining the Cowboys after being cut by his former team. The site noted that this would mean that the Cowboys' famous offensive line will be more fearful than ever for the other teams to go against with.

The Dallas Cowboys' official website confirmed the news, adding that the team chose to release veteran linebacker Jasper Brinkley, who signed a two-year deal in March with a $2 million guaranteed money, instead.

Now, the Louisiana Tech alumnus and New Orleans Saints' fan should know that nothing is really that permanent in football, as he once thought he could stay with the Bears for life. Thus, this time, he must prove he is someone worth keeping by the Cowboys.

"I was a Saints fan, but I'm a Bear now. Being a Saints fan still has a little spot in my heart but I'm a Bear now, Chicago Bears for the rest of my life and the rest of my career," the tackle told The Times-Picayune in 2014.
