World Boxing Council super middleweight champion Badou Jack successfully defended his title against British fighter George Groves this Saturday in Las Vegas but is up and ready to take on another challenger.

Jack "The Ripper" (20-1-1, 12 KOs) stated that he savors his first title defense win but is actually prepared to face anyone, including the son of the Mexican icon, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., Boxing Scene reported.

"I haven't thought about my next fight yet, but there's a lot of big fights for me. I heard Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. wants to fight me. I want to enjoy this win but I will fight anyone," the 31-year-old warrior said.

"I'm very ready to fight anybody. That's [Badou vs. Chavez Jr.] is a very good fight for me. We can make it happen. He's a good fighter; not as good as his father, but he's a tough guy, " Jack also said in a post-fight press conference, as quoted by Boxing News 24.

Chavez Jr. aims for Jack's spot

Chavez Jr. (49-2-1, 32KOs), who came out victorious against Marcos Reyes in El Paso, Texas in July, is eyeing the WBC super middleweight crown, a separate article from Boxing Scene reported.

"That's what I want to do. I want to go for the [WBC] belt...my intention is to go for my second world title, and also to become the first Mexican to win a super middleweight championship," said the former WBC middleweight champion.

Can Chavez Jr. accomplish what Groves failed to do when he clashes with Jack in the near future?

Jack's advice to Groves

On the other hand, Jack advised Groves, who just lost his third attempt to capture a World title, per BoxRec, to find another target for this goal as he would not be the man he can just put down. The WBC super middleweight champ encourages Groves to try it with the International Boxing Federation title holder James DeGale instead, reported Boxing News 24.

"Not against me. He's a tough guy. He's the number one contender for my title. I'm sure he can win a world title. Maybe he can fight James DeGale over there in the UK," Jack told the press.

Although Jack won via a split decision over Groves (21-3, 16 KOs), he felt it was a clear victory in his favor. The Sweden-born boxer reportedly shared that although "Saint George" got a nice jab, he never hurt him during the fight. Jack also believed he could even knock out Groves if he had exerted more effort into going "more to the body."
