Director Ridley Scott finally released another sequel for the beloved sci-fi horror "Prometheus."

"Prometheus 2," according to another Latin Post report, has slowly emerged online with few but significant details that signal the movie's apparent existence. The main cast members include Noomi Rapace, who will play the role of Dr. Elizabeth Shaw, and Michael Fassbender as Android David. In a rare spoiler for the sequel, it was mentioned that the possibility of Dr. Shaw getting killed and replaced by a new female character is possible. David may also find himself in the same similar position that will eventually remove their characters from future sequels.

Ridley Scott was interviewed by Deadline, and he was open to say what he feels about the film. At some point, he even considered forgetting the sequel and creating a new one, but that is not exactly how it works.

He said, "You can say, 'Leave the first film alone and jump ahead', but you can't because it ends on too specific a plot sentence," Some revelations about "Prometheus 2" is the promise that Michael Fassbender will indeed make a comeback for the film, which is targeted to start in February 2016. Scott has yet to announce whether the movie will be filmed in the U.S. or Australia.

Gamespot featured Ridley Scott's interview and the topic of the movie "Blade Runner 2" came up. Apparently, the title was brought by Alcon but was asked if he can contribute with the details of the content. He also trusts director Denis Villeneuve to do justice on his project, saying that he can start concentrating on "Prometheus."

Regarding the question "Who created us?," Scott went on to say, "It is pretty grand thinking, and that's what I want to explore. You've got to go back and find those engineers and see what they are thinking. If engineers are the forerunners of us, and therefore were creators of life forms in places that were possible for biology to function, who created that?"

Slashfilm gave a few details about Michael Fassbender's returning character wherein he and Noomi Rapace were last seen from Prometheus leaving the Engineer Spacecraft for some sort of discovery.

Without any closure on their destiny, it's fair to think that they can come back with a more interesting role as well as imminent story twist on Ridley Scott's sequel "Prometheus 2." "Prometheus 2" is a sci-fi thriller adventure, which is set to open in May of 2017.
