Miley Cyrus and comedian Dane Cook are rumored to be dating. The pair has been friends for a long time and it's believed they've taken their platonic relationship to the next level.

An unnamed source has revealed to US Weekly exclusively that Miley and Dane are "hooking up." However, no other details were provided regarding their rumored romance.

Miley, 22, and Dane, 43, have been long-time friends since 2013. They were spotted in December, dancing together at The Woods club in Los Angeles. The "Wrecking Ball" star had also shared photos of them together on her Instagram page, such as this photo shared by Daily Mail. The snap shows Miley and Dane hugging each other. The comedian captioned the shot, "Don't you ever let someone treat you like a yellow Starburst. You are a pink Starburst."

Another photo posted last year in January shows the pair together, with Dane's arm around Miley's shoulder. According to Daily Mail, the rumored dating stars often banter on Twitter.

However, Dane has recently responded to the dating rumors. The comedian, who previously dated Jessica Simpson, reacted to the news in jest.

"I'm always the last to know these things," Dane told E! News. "Just let Miley know that I'll pick her up for dinner at 8."

This is not the first time the actor has been linked to several girls. According to Daily Mail, he was previously also linked to Heather Ashley Chase, singer Nicole Scherzinger, Nikki Giavasis, Julianne Hough and Raquel Houghton.

Miley, on the other hand, was previously in a relationship with Maria Shiver and Arnold Schwarzenegger's son Patrick Schwarzenegger. The pair dated for five months but soon broke up after Patrick was photographed hanging out with another girl on spring break. The model was also caught doing body shots off a bikini-clad girl.

The "We Can't Stop" singer has since been linked to Victoria Secret model Stella Maxwell, after her break up from Patrick. However, it's believed she and Stella also split in August.

Miley had talked about her relationship status ahead of the MTV Video Music Awards on Aug. 30. The 22-year old also talked about her sexuality during her cover interview for the October issue of Elle UK magazine.

"I'm pansexual. But I'm not in a relationship. I'm 22, I'm going on dates, but I change my style every two weeks, let alone who I'm with," she said.
