Kristen Bell, Jeff Bridges and Benedict Cumberbatch were the latest stars to be tormented on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" by reading mean tweets directed at them by Twitter followers on Monday.

The humorous "Mean Tweets" segment has become so popular over the past few years on the late night program that Jimmy Kimmel has decided to devote a whole week to the bit.

"Twitter has made it easy for famous people to interact directly with their fans, which is nice," Kimmel explained to Us Weekly. "But it also makes it easy for people to tell you how much they hate you, and with that said, we're going to do something new this week."

Bridges, Bell and Cumberbatch were just the first round of celebrities to endure the lashing of mean tweets. There will be a new group each night this week reading tweets out to the audience, while Kimmel sits back and relishes in the discomfort of his famous guests.

"Am now convinced Jeff Bridges is a crazy f*cker and not in a cool way," Bridges read. "Just in a disturbed hobo shouting at sparrows on sidewalks way."

"Very interesting critique," he replied. "I will take that to heart."

While Bridges' reaction was seemingly calm and collected, Bell reacted in a much more dramatic manner.

"Kristen Bell seems like such a b*tch, her vagina is probably an Alcatraz for penis," Bell read, and then proceeded to smile, wink, and walk away from the set.

Cumberbatch, however, had the best comeback to throw at his mean tweeter, who took a swing at the "Sherlock" star's appearance.

"If you find Benedict Cumberbatch attractive, I'm guessing you'd also quite enjoy staring directly at a cat's anus," he read aloud, laughing. "Yikes."

"Yeah, well someone did, and she put a ring on it," Cumberbatch replied, referring to his wife Sophie Turner.
