Two weeks in, Twitch Plays Pokémon has reached the Indigo Plateau.

The online phenomenon known as Twitch Plays Pokémon could be nearing its conclusion, but of course, that will depend if gamers succeed in controlling Red.

For people unfamiliar with Twitch Plays Pokémon, its creator has categorized the live stream of Pokémon Red Version video game as a social experiment. Viewers are able to command the protagonist, Red, to do various acts such as walking, battles, and more. To the average gamer, Pokémon Red Version can be completed in approximately one day, but the social experiment is soon entering day 16.

Since Latin Post's last update, Twitch Plays Pokémon has totaled 34.2 million viewers with more than 100,000 viewing and participating at one time.

A total of 30 Pokémon have been caught from the original 151, but 11 have remained active.

What has led to the exit of most of the captured Pokémon?

It is known as "Bloody Sunday."

A couple hours after the capture of legendary Pokémon Zapdos, gamers in their droves tried to reorganize the main party of six. Unfortunately, as a result, 12 Pokémon were released include multiple Venonats, Nidoran♂, Geodude, Paras, and Rhyhorn. In addition to the aforementioned Pokémon, Farfetch'd, Gloom, and Raticate were released and they proved vital in the initial start of the journey.

In between and after the releases, gamers managed to secure all eight Kanto gym leader badges and disband the terrorist organization Team Rocket. In one occasion, it took gamers nearly one entire day to defeat Team Rocket Boss Giovanni in the Silph Co. Also, teaching Lapras Strength and Surf took an hour.

In the end, all badges were won and the Indigo Plateau, home of the Kanto region's Pokémon League waited. One hurdle, however, blocked Red from reaching the Indigo Plateau: Victory Road. Gamers finally conquered the twist and turns along Victory Road after more than 26 hours.

As of Feb. 28, the Twitch Plays Pokémon saga continued with the Elite Four. The battles against the Elite Four has not been easy and losses have occurred. Gamers have lost to Lorelei on three occasions and Agatha twice, but won against them five times and three stints, respectively. Bruno has been swept on five occasions while one victory against Lance was noted. With the victory against Dragon-trainer Lance, the Champion Blue was next but Red lost. As a result, gamers have to face the Elite Four over and over again without loss.

Battling against the Elite Four are Nidoking, Lapras, Pidgeot, Venomoth, Zapdos, and the final form of the all-mighty Helix Fossil: Omastar. The Helix Fossil, which generates an Omanyte with science technology, has garnered a following from fans as a god but for joking purposes.
