AMC The Walking Dead Season 4 Episode 12: Norman Reedus Talks Daryl Dixon Fate in New 'Still' Episode
The second half of season 4 of The Walking Dead has proven to be very suspenseful. The next episode airs Sunday on AMC at 9 p.m. The question all fans are wondering is what will happen to Daryl Dixon in the episode titled "Still"?
Recently, Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl on the show, hinted that some big things were coming up for his character in the next episode, which he said the episode is "great study in character development."
"He's a much diff character than he was in the beginning," Reedus told Wall Street Journal. "...I've always tried to play him like he's had his back up against the wall. That's his reason for fighting."
Reedus describes his character, who is a fan favorite in the show, as a "reluctant leader."
"With the group splintered after the second attack from the Governor, he's back to square one.he's back to feral, upset Daryl," Reedus continued.
Some speculators wonder if the show will take a major twist and have Daryl eat Beth Greene (played by Emily Kinney). The plotline seems a bit out there, but even Reedus could not help but address the theory.
"It's true! Sunday I eat her!!!. #bethsashimi," he teased via Twitter.
Even if Beth does not become sashimi in a bloody, gruesome manner, Reedus promises that Sunday's episode will thrill fans.
"Just watched next weeks episode. AMAZING!!!!!! BETH (so good!!!))" the actor tweeted.
SPOILER ALERT: Still, the question remains as to whether or not Daryl himself will live past the next episode. According to Wetpaint, the answer is yes, as Reedus was reportedly spotted filming the "very end" of season 4 in November.
In addition, Reedus previously teased to The Wrap that "Maybe I die in these back eight, we don't know." Some take this as a sign that Daryl will not die because if Reedus would not have so easily revealed the twist if this was the case.
Reedus will participate in a live Twitter Q&A session during Sunday's episode.
