"The Walking Dead" Season 6 is all about Rick and company in Alexandria, but there are questions as to how closely the show will be following the source material in the comic series.

Comic creator Robert Kirkman talked with Entertainment Weekly and gave them a few details about the biggest differences between Season 6 of the show and his original comic series.

One main point that he cited, which fans were fairly aware of, is that one of their beloved characters on the show was never in the comic series. That character is of course Daryl Dixon, portrayed onscreen by Norman Reedus.

That also means that the show will keep fans guessing as to the fate of Dixon. Fans have even taken to social media announcing they would protest if Daryl were to be killed off on the show, signaling that they understand that the show is much different than the comic series.

But that also plays to the fact that if fans already know about everything that is coming, why would they want to watch it? Why would they care if they can just read all the spoilers in the comic books and get their info straight from the source?

Although the show has followed most of the basic tenants of the comic books, there are several differences that Kirkman pointed out. But one specific difference was that of Carol (Melissa McBride), who "was long dead and never as cool as the TV version by this point."

He was very tight-lipped about not exposing any potential spoilers for Season 6, but he did have one last thing to say about the season.

"All I'll say is that a few of the things coming deal with very cool, very beloved parts of the comic series and expand them in ways that die-hard fans are going to love," Kirkman said. "This stuff is awesome."
