'Fifty Shades of Grey Movie' Cast, Release Date, News & Update: Producer Talks 50 Shades Sequel, Kristin Chenoweth Calls Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson "Fantastic"
The Fifty Shades of Grey movie has not even hit theaters yet, but it is already the talk of the town. One actress, however, does not even know what the story is about. Still, can all this hype mean that there will be a sequel to the sexy film?
At Sunday night's Academy Awards, Fifty Shades of Grey producer Dana Brunetti revealed that the film closely follows the book of the same name written by co-producer E.L. James.
"E.L. was there every day," Brunetti told MTV. "She was very hands-on. To have the author there definitely makes it pretty faithful."
According to Kristin Chenoweth, Brunetti's girlfriend, the stars of the film, Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele, are perfect fits for the movie adaptation.
"I think that Dakota and Jamie, I met them both -- I didn't see their work because it's a closed set, but I do see how they both got the parts -- could not have been lovelier," Chenoweth told E! News. "That always helps.'You're talented and your [sic] nice?' Fantastic!"
So does all this positivity mean that the Fifty Shades of Grey movie will have a sequel? Next in line in the trilogy is Fifty Shades Darker followed by Fifty Shades Freed.
"I have no idea," Brunetti said. "I have no idea yet. We haven't even started discussing that yet. We just want to get this one wrapped and get it cut. We'll see the cut, see how it goes, and once it's released, we'll start discussing what happens next."
If the movie gains enough popularity to warrant a sequel, perhaps Winona Ryder will finally know what Fifty Shades of Grey is. Recently, the 41-year-old actress revealed that she thought it was about something much more proper.
"This is how out of the loop I am," Ryder explained according to Contactmusic. "I met E.L. James at a party, and I'd heard about the book so I knew everyone was talking about it but because there's a tie on the cover I thought it was about Wall Street. I think I said something really stupid to her because I literally thought it was about the economy.''
