Miley Cyrus Talks ‘SNL’ With Jimmy Fallon on ‘The Tonight Show’
Miley Cyrus stopped by "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" on Thursday to talk about her upcoming hosting duties on "Saturday Night Live."
The "Party in the U.S.A." singer was all decked out in a yellow frock, a bunny-inspired lace headband mask and a huge pink heart ring while chatting with Fallon, according to The Hollywood Reporter. After Fallon complimented Cyrus' outfit, she returned the favor.
"You're my fashion icon," Cyrus said. "If I was ever going to wear clothes, it'd probably be what you have on." The late-night host responded with, "Because it's rare when it happens."
Next the 22-year-old and Fallon talked about her performance on the "SNL 40" anniversary show, and she mentioned that Leonardo DiCaprio kind of rubbed her the wrong way.
"It was kind of weird," Cyrus said. "I was sitting there and was 20 feet, 15 feet from Leonardo DiCaprio sitting there with his mom and he was hitting a vap[or] pen, but it wasn't him that was making me nervous. I was feeling this emotion because there's like an etiquacy when we're there, you need to pass that sh*t, Leo, and he never did. So that was weird to me."
At the anniversary special Cyrus covered Paul Simon's "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover" and admitted before her performance she was a bit intimidated, especially because Simon was in the room.
"I was the only chick, I was the one -- girl -- that wasn't older," she said of her performance, adding, "Besides Kanye, but I mean even Kanye's kind of old, compared to me, but he's about to be our future president, so I shouldn't say too much."
Cyrus is set to serve as host and musical guest for the "SNL" season premiere on Saturday, Oct. 3.
The singer released her fifth studio album, "Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz," on Aug. 30. It is the follow-up to her 2013 release "Bangerz."
